Viktoriya born in Jerusalem, is a daughter of orphaned Genocide survivor from Dörtyol, Turkey. The name Dörtyol means crossroads of four roads or highways in Turkish. Dörtyol is a port city at the Gulf of İskenderun, near the easternmost point of the Mediterranean coast, in the Hatay province of Turkey. Dörtyol played a crucial location, when it was under the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia (Kilikia). Dortyol was a major Armenian town around 10000 in population which was strong enough to resist the Turkish attacked. In 1895 the Armenians of Dörtyol and surround areas resisted the Hamidian Massacres. In 1909 during the Adana Massacre the Armenians of Dörtyol or Chorkmarzban resisted the massacres again. From 1919-1921 most Armenians resisted the Armenian Genocide, this was the third and last resistance movement of the Armenians of Dörtyol. After the French and Turks agreed on the Syrian-Turkish border, Dörtyol fell on the Turkish side, and the surviving Armenians were forced to Flee to Syria, Egypt and Jordan/Palestine. #Germany #Turk #Turks #TurkeyFailed #Turkey #TurkeyGuilty #TürkiyeCumhuriyeti #Türkiye #Yerevan #Ankara #ArmGenocide100 #2015RTAG #Kahramanmaraş #Gaziaintap #Diyarbakır #Izmir #Bursa #Kayseri #Adana #Konya #SonsAndDaughtersOfGenocide #Hayastan #Genocide #ArmGenocide100Years #LosAngeles #France by gi_harout
